Tekseal foam cement has many applications in mine ventilation control including the construction of roadway seals.

After selecting a suitable site, two containment walls are constructed to hold the liquid foam in place. As a rule of thumb the distance between the two walls is approximately half of the roadway height. Each containment wall consists of either timber or steel bars set vertically between roof and floor.

The walls are completed by attaching horizontal supports covered by a sheet of brattice material to form a water tight compartment. Heavy duty steel wire or steel bars can be used to tie the two walls together and resist the pressure of the foam as it is pumped through the injection pipes into the void between the brattice walls. The result is a strong durable air tight wall.
