Solutions - Ground Consolidation

Consolidation of broken or friable ground can be readily achieved by the injection of resin into the broken strata. The system requires that holes are drilled into the strata in such a position that these intersect as many cracks or voids as possible.
On completion of drilling a hole an injection lance and packer are inserted into the hole and coupled to the pump via the static mixer, “Y” piece and hoses. With the pump running the valves are opened allowing the two resins to flow through the static mixer where they are thoroughly mixed before passing into the packer.
The pressurized mixed resin will then expand the packer before rupturing the pressure disc and flowing through the injection lance and into the cracks in the strata where it will set and bond the rock together.
