Products - Lokset® "A" Resin Capsules
Lokset® "A" Resin Capsules are a high strength capsule used to control vertical and horizontal strata movement in order to maintain the integrity of the rock and provide safer working conditions. Rock bolts work both locally and regionally; locally they anchor blocks while regionally they clamp together the strata layers to create a re-inforced rock mass.
Each Lokset® Resin Capsule is a two-compartment capsule that consists of a heat sealed tube of polyester film clipped at both ends. One compartment contains a dark grey resin, the other a white catalyst.
Capsules contain inert fillers, water, polyester resin and catalyst (active ingredients include low levels of styrene and modified benzoyl peroxide). Lokset® Resin Capsules are for industrial use only and are intended for use in conjunction with tendons.
The Lokset® Resin compound is thixotropic and fast setting. This reduces viscosity during insertion of the bolt thus requiring relatively low force and torque. The uniquely size graded fillers assist with shredding of the film, mixing of the resin and, by interlocking with each other and the side walls of the hole, further increase stiffness. The resin will not flow out of rockbolt holes, even when installed vertically overhead.
