Air-O-Cem can be used for general void filling and the construction of lightweight barriers and bulkheads.Typical applications of Air-O-Cem are for void filling above closed-off arches in tunnel drives or after rockfalls. Lightweight barriers for ventilation control are also easily constructed using Air-O-Cem, or barriers to prevent air-flow to underground fires.
Air-O-Cem is a single component, non-combustible, aerated cement. Supplied as a powder, it readily forms a foamed grout on mixing with water in a purpose designed placer.
